Take It For Granite Farm, a lovely country inn in Wilmot, New Hampshire, offers its lodging facilities and garden filled grounds for weddings and events of up to 250 guests. We have hosted many weddings, family reunions and other occasions over the years and can assist with all essential planning, including suggestions for caterers, bakers, florists, musicians, and photographers. The inn staff is available for consultation and general planning prior to the event and will provide their undivided attention and assist in any way that is necessary to insure a happy and successful event.  Our policy is to focus entirely on your special occasion the weekend or days of your choice. Therefore, the inn and all four  guest rooms will be reserved for your use exclusively.

A "country wedding" in a small rural area such as the Sunapee region of western New Hampshire will be a memorable and beautiful experience. At Take It For Granite Farm, we offer a wonderful view of Mount Kearsarge, an extensive system of well-maintained gardens, eight plus years of experience with all sizes and types of weddings, and great enthusiasm for sharing the joy of your special day. Services offered at Take It For Granite Farm


Terraced on three levels including:

A patio area behind the main building where guests can mingle, leave presents, or be welcomed. This area also provides several excellent spots for wedding photographs.

A 50 by 140 foot garden level for the actual wedding ceremony or for the initial cocktail/hors d'oeuvres reception. This area is bordered by a large rock wall and an extensive perennial garden.

A 130 by 180 foot main reception field which is a level, well-drained grassy plot for tents of all sizes. This area is adjacent to the farm pond, bordered by the Blackwater River, and surrounded by trees. Water and electricity are supplied to this field and insect control measures are included when appropriate.

We have a number of facility requirements and event planning guidelines available for the event planner, bridal family, the caterers, and all other vendors.  Attention to these helpful suggestions will insure that event day goes smoothly, that the natural beauty of our grounds is preserved, and that the property and privacy of our neighbors is appropriately respected.

Transporting guests and equipment with inn golf cart

Torch lighting between main field and inn.

Escorting wedding party to ceremony area.

Assistance with planning refreshments for wedding party or inn guests before the ceremony.

Assistance with wedding rehearsal if ceremony at inn.

Placement of signage for inn and parking and restrooms.

Site cleanup

Valet parking is available and quoted separately.


Inn Services

Four (4) guest rooms with a total sleeping capacity of 11 persons

Dressing and makeup area for the bridal party by arrangement.

Designated waterproof space in the barn for storage of beverages, gifts, flowers, lawn ornaments and other supplies.

Use of the grounds for rehearsal dinner and/or Sunday brunch at no additional charge.
