Tennis at the Proctor Academy courts in Andover, the Colby Sawyer College courts in New London or indoors at Mountainside Tennis Center (526-9293)

Swimming outdoors at local town beach or indoors at Hogan Center in New London for a small fee.

Kayak Tours   Rent kayaks and canoes, buy equipment, join or schedule a tour.  Best area vendor.

Indoor Exercise  at the Hogan Center on the Colby Sawyer campus - day passes available, or at Mountainside Racquet and Fitness Center.

Bike Rentals at the Blackwater shop  in Andover or Village Sports in New London.

Hiking and Picnicking on  Mt. Kearsarge with wonderful sunsets!   Easy 0.5 mile hike up Mt. Kearsarge from the Warner side.  A  more difficult but rewarding 1.75 mile hike up on the new Barlow Trail on the Wilmot side.

Another nice hike is on the Kidder Brook or Morgan pond trail near Twin Lake Villa just outside of New London.

Downhill and Cross Country Skiing at Mt Sunapee Resort, Ragged Mountain and Pine Hill Ski Club See websites for info and conditions.  Ski rentals at the Blackwater Ski shop in Andover.

Inn “toys” for inn guests:   We have mountain bikes, snowshoes, sleds, lawn games, a canoe. 

Yoga at Pine Hill Yoga is a relaxing way to spend your time in New Hampshire.

The New London Barn Playhouse shows popular plays at 8 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sundays in the summer.    There are also some 2 p.m. matinees.  Call 1 800 633 2276 or 526 6710 locally for information.

“Yesteryear on the Farm” Musterfield Farm, Harvey Road, North Sutton, offers glimpses of the early days on the farm, tools, farm animals, barns, weekends through Oct. 

Montshire Science Museum, Norwich, Vermont.  Great hands-on activities for families.

Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, Warner.  Open May 1 through September.  Weekends in October and November. 

Summer Concerts on the Green in New London on Friday evenings at 7 p.m.  Check at the Chamber of  Commerce Booth, New London.

Summer Boat Trips on Lake Sunapee on the MV Mt. Sunapee daily.  Can take a lake tour, dinner trip or sunset trip.   Need reservations by calling 763-4030.

League of NH Craftsmen’s Fair,Mt. Sunapee second week in August, open daily 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Large and wonderful juried crafts fair, demonstrations, shop, food, entertainment.  Also new in 2005, a statewide open studio tour Nov. 11-13.

The Fells, botanical garden and John Hay Estate open daily Memorial Day through October.  Dayhikes and special events weekdays and holidays.
